eTendersNI
eTendersNI is the Northern Ireland public procurement portal for opportunities from government departments, agencies and arms-length bodies. Suppliers register as an organisation to respond online and receive notifications; its notices sit within Northern Ireland’s procurement arrangements.
Reviewed
Northern Ireland government departments, agencies and arms-length bodies use eTendersNI for many goods, works and services opportunities. Supplier registration is required to respond to a tender and to receive the portal’s notifications.
Prepare your supplier account
Register the organisation rather than relying on one individual’s mailbox, and keep administrator details and category interests current. Search by title, buyer, CPV code, service, works or goods, and deadline. Open the full notice and download every document. For an active tender, use the portal’s clarification function for questions about the requirement and leave enough time to upload the final response. A saved category or buyer alert is useful, but it cannot replace checking the actual notice and amendments.
Understand the UK-wide boundary
Northern Ireland has its own procurement rules and portal arrangements. The current Find a Tender notice sequence does not automatically replace the route named by a Northern Irish contracting authority, especially for below-threshold or transitional procurements. For example, a Northern Ireland department may publish and run a call for tenders in eTendersNI while a supplier also maintains a separate central digital platform record. Follow the notice’s stated legislation, response method and deadline rather than applying an English or Scottish assumption.
